Right Ear, Left Ear

I've always been too chicken to get my ears pierced. And so all my life, I could only envy those who could wear earrings.
Of course, I could wear clip-ons, but there just isn't as much variety. And for some reason, most of the designs tend to be somewhat ...... matronly.

But this changed when I discovered an accessories shop in People's Park last week.
I was browsing when I chanced upon a rack of old, retro earrings. They were stuff from the 80s and 90s, but most were still in pretty good condition and would not look out of place if someone wore them now. To my surprise, I discovered there were many pairs of clip-ons. I was intrigued, and started going through the rack in detail.

I took a long time going through the earrings, because there were so many! After a while, the proprietor came up to me and suggested I try gold earrings, which are quite the rage this season.
Regretfully, I told her my choices were limited, because I could only wear clip-ons.
That was when she dropped the bombshell.

She told me she could change the hooks into clip-ons for me.

This information overwhelmed me for a while.
The solution was so simple, yet it had never occurred to me. I had to make sure, and asked her "Any type of earring?"
Her reply was, "Except for hoops."

The significance of this discovery was pretty huge.
That meant I could now wear almost any pair of earring in the shop! Naturally, this led to a frenzied search through all THE OTHER racks that I had skipped earlier.
And I am not kidding when I say this shop is stuffed with accessories to the brim. No wall was spared in displaying all her goods.

To sweeten the deal, the earrings were very affordable. I spent less than $20 on 4 pairs of earrings.

Pictures of the earrings will be posted soon.
