Trend Spotting

(Left to right) Sandra Bullock, R&B singer Amerie, Jennifer Lopez

People.com reports that some celebs have been spotted wearing kimono dresses.
So is it a coincidence, or foresight when I mentioned it here?
(Yes, I'm feeling a little smug.)

Anyway, I must say again I think it's a great look ! So effortless, yet so chic.

Mango Sale : Round 1 Report

As promised, here's my report on the Mango Sale.
I went to the Wisma Isetan and Taka outlets yesterday. It was the usual human crush, but the merchandise was relatively well arranged. Beware of the dust though. For some strange reason, Mango sales always get a little dusty.

I noticed that printed tees seem to be cheaper at this sale, with prices from $17 onwards.
Jeans and capris were quite a bargain, with prices hovering around $30+ to $40+.
There were also some nice suits and jackets slashed down by 30-40%.
I got myself two tops (photos coming soon).

Once again, I have to gripe about this phenomenon that happens at all Mango sales.
Why do some girls bring their boyfriends/husbands along?
In my opinion, the Mango sale is a very unconducive environment for males. The female human jam, the frantic searching through piles and racks of clothes, the long queues at the fitting rooms. Guys look so out of place in the store. And some of them look downright miserable as they shuffle behind their girlfriends helping them carry their handbags/shopping bags. It's almost as bad as bringing a man along to a lingerie sale.
Of course, the guys standing outside the Mango stores look pretty bored too, but at least they have fresh air and plenty of room.

It's been a while since we've had such fabulous laze-at-home-and-do-nothing kind of weather, so I decided to dedicate today's post to lounge-worthy separates.
Now don't you wish you were home?

Kimono Dresses by Geren Ford

I found these kimono dresses here and I think they're fabulous !
It's simple, yet you can dress it up in so many ways.
As a dressy option, pair them with pumps.
For a casual look, wear them as a tunic over jeans.
Great for days when you don't know what to wear, because it's so effortless. Best of all, it's perfect for our weather !

Street Style

In New York

(She's wearing a corset top over a tee, with pearls.)

(Left) The gloves and boots makes this look almost like a riding outfit.
(Right) Not sure if red tights was such a good idea ;P

In Los Angeles

(Left) The wide belt makes this outfit more eye-catching, doesn't it?
(Right) The headband makes this otherwise ordinary outfit a little edgier.

(This look reminds me of Kate Beckinsale in Pearl Harbour)

(Left) Love that denim jacket !
(Right) Inspired by The Brady Bunch perhaps?

Runway Highlight : Betsey Johnson

From her Spring 2006 Ready To Wear collection. 'Tis the season to be girly !
